The Brush Dilemma: Curves or Flats? Long, Short, or No Handle?

With all the different brushes that are available, people sometimes get lost. So here is the short answer.

The best brush to use, is the brush you are most comfortable with.

My personal preference are the Torino Pro stubby brushes, they are small, short handled oval brushes. They are perfect for Vertical (precision) brushing, and its easy to flip the brush without the handle getting in the way.

I also love Torino Pro curve brushes, they way the curved bristles contour to my head shape make it easier for me to hit the angles I need for my pattern.

The only brush I don't like is the 360 Jeezy brush because of the shape. When you brush the 'wing tips' are hitting a different angle than the body of the brush, which will lead to flow and or fork issues. The direction of the bristles is the main factor of a brush.

Use the brush that fits your hand and head shape the best.
