How to BeeHive your Crown - CLOCK IT
This post is for the beehive wavers, it doesn't matter if your crown is offset or not. When brushing your crown, you need to envision a clock and use that as your guide for your brush angles. Over time your waves will appear more round. Here is a photo of PJ the CoarseHairedKing on his journey to perfection.
How To Swirl Your Crown - WRENCH IT
The crown is viewed as the 'Cherry on top' of the wave pattern, which is ironic because in order for your whole pattern to flow together, you have to start your pattern from your crown. I've found that the easiest way to build your crown is by combing it. Combing lifts the hair but it doesn't pull it out of place. Using a wrenching motion around your crown will help you get your hair trained to stay in place so you can brush your waves in. This is for swirl crowns, not beehives.
